#A42: SONG OF SOLOMON

One will attempt to make the Correlation and Argument that there is Rapture Timing Clue in the Song of Solomon, but not in Spring. As the End Times and Rapture Community approach the Spring Feasts, it has been natural to consider the Rapture’s Timing to correspond to a Spring Feasts, as projected from the Song of Solomon. Perhaps. It is logical to consider it, but as one has commented in the Past, in that respect, one is more convinced of its ‘New Wine’ Connection. One will attempt to show that Timing Correspondence. It is about the Summer Fruit, in one’s Estimation.

And also because it is because this Song or Book is what convinced one, personally to ‘Go All-In’ in the Service of the Greater King Solomon, Jesus. So, one will interject one’s Spiritual Journey here-and-there to give some Context. When one was about to graduate from one’s University in 1990, one had a Choice to make. Who will one Serve? One studied Political Science, had done Internships at the State and National Levels, studied Languages and went abroad 3 Times, in England, Sweden and Spain.
 

One was preparing to go into the U.S. Foreign Service and/or work for the United Nations in Switzerland. The World was before one for the taking and ‘Serving’. One ultimately wanted to become an Ambassador, etc. But it was at this Place and Time, that although one was Discipled in the Christian Faith, and had by that Time been Saved for about 10 Years now, one sensed a Call to be Jesus’ Ambassador, actively. It meant that one would have to give-up all Earthly Ambassadorial Aspirations.
 

And that in choosing to be Jesus’ Ambassador, one would be relegated to Ridicule and a Career that would not even approach such Earthly Glory. But one was then reminded of the 3 Life Promises when one got Saved on April 9, 1980 and read the Books of Revelations and Daniel. It was after all, how one saw one’s Life projected in the Life of the Young Daniel that resonated with one’s own. And that was how one wanted to be an Ambassador for the King, like a Daniel and a John, etc.
 

So, how is all that pertinent to the Song of Solomon and the possible Rapture Clues found in that Book? Around 1990, a Song by Michael Card came out that the Brothers in one’s Inner-Fellowship were listening to. One borrowed the Cassette and listened to it. The Song was entitled, ‘Arise My Love’. It is what ‘Sealed the Deal’. It literally puts a Seal over one’s Heart to respond to the Inner Call of the Greater King Solomon, Jesus in one’s Heart. One could not deny the Call of a King, the King. It was irresistible. However, one knew that one would forfeit all of one’s Earthly Aspirations and Career, for the moment, for all of one’s Life. And that turned out to be the ‘Story of one’s Life’.

The Cost of Serving
But knowing that ultimately, in the End, in Eternity, one would be assigned by Jesus to be His Ambassador in His Kingdom. And presently to be one ‘In-Training’ on Earth. So one said, ‘I Do’. It was as a Marriage Vow to Serve and Obey, etc. Here is the Song by Michael Card. Blame it on him.

And? Well, in reading the Song of Solomon, one realized what one’s Life Blueprint would be like. It would be one of Loss, Misunderstanding, Mistreatment like the Shulamite endured. But it was because of the Type of Love for the King and an Expectation. Expectation of what? Of the King, of the Rapture to be with the King. And ultimately, it is about that if one Serves the King, one will be with the King. 

And to realize that as promised, all that is His, will be mine as all that is Mine, one has surrendered to Him, Jesus, the Greater Solomon will be His. And who am I? I am one who is as the Shulamite, Dark and burned by the Sun, growing up as a Migrant in the Almond Orchards, raising Lambs, etc. Go FFA! (Future Farmers of America). So, to that end and given this Context, on a Personal Level, one will now attempt to show how despite the Spring Timing of the Rapture Typology being surmised, it is just the Prelude to the Summer Timing of when the Harvest occurs of all those Types of Fruits noted.

One will attempt to show that in fact, nearly every Chapter, of which there are 8, have a Wine or New Wine Theme that one will shamelessly tie-in to one’s July 23 (723) End of the Summer Wheat Harvest Rapture Timing. And how one has argued that the Fruit corresponding to the Acts 2 Pentecost Timing is about the First Fruits of the New Wine. And that, in turn is what one theory could be connected to the Rapture’s Timing, etc. That is one’s Working Theory until further Notice. Here is the Outline of the 8 Chapters.
 

Chapter 1. Shulamite’s Prelude.
Chapter 2. Shulamite’s Admiration.
Chapter 3. Shulamite’s Dream.
Chapter 4. Solomon’s Admiration I.
Chapter 5. The Corresponding Couple.
Chapter 6. At the Garden. (Echoes of Eden.)
Chapter 7. Solomon’s Admiration II. (A Double Witness.)
Chapter 8. The Longing and Expectation of their Love.

The following will be one’s Commentary and to show the Wine Theme and Summer Timing of the Rapture, rather than a Spring one. As to the Name of ‘Shulamite’? It is the Feminine Version of Solomon. Essentially, she is ‘Mrs. Peace’, as that is what Solomon means, ‘Peace’. Ultimately, it is in reference to Jesus, the Prince of Peace, etc.
 

CHAPTER 1
Notice that this is the Preface to the Poetry of the Play, as if it was a Stage Production. It starts out with the Bride describing how Solomon’s Love is more ‘Delightful than Wine’. Right from the Beginning, as it will also End, the Theme that sets the Tone is about Wine. Perhaps one is reading the Rapture and New Wine Theme too much into the Song, but here is the Presumption. Notice the Inference to being ‘Taken Away’ and brought to the Chamber, the Wedding Chamber. See Isaiah 26:20 and Psalm 19:5. Yes, you all know one has to inject Astronomy into all this.

1:2 Let him kiss me with the Kisses of his Mouth! For your Love is more delightful than Wine.

1:3 The Fragrance of your Perfume is pleasing; your Name is like Perfume poured out. No wonder the Maidens adore you. 

1:4 Take me away with you—let us hurry! May the King bring me to his Chambers. 

Then consider how the Bride references, yet again the Correlation of the Vineyards of En-gedi. En-gedi is a Hebrew Term that means ‘Spring of the Kid’ or ‘Fountain of the Goat’. En-gedi is known for its lush Vegetation and Fresh Water Springs, making it a notable Oasis in the Arid Region. It is also significant in Biblical History, as it is associated with stories involving King David, who sought Refuge there from King Saul. 

1:14 My Beloved is to me a Cluster of Henna blossoms in the Vineyards of En-gedi. 

CHAPTER 2
In this Chapter, the Bride describes herself as the Rose of Sharon. One has done and shared a Word Study of how in the Hebrew, this Phrase can be interpreted phonetically as ‘Rashon of Ahron’. It means ‘I AM the Last and the First’, etc. it is a complement to who and what Jesus is, the Great I AM. And then notice again now in Verse 4, there is that Reference to Wine. 

2:1 I am a Rose of Sharon, a Lily of the Valley. 

2:4 He has brought me to the House of Wine, and his Banner over me is Love.
 

Now, perhaps this next Section of the Song is the most Popular. It is what is usually used to surmise that if one applies the Timing of the Rapture as a Prophetic Typology from the Song, it has to be then in the Spring. Perhaps, but one’s Argument is that it is where the ‘Story’ or the Rapture Timing begins. Why?

It is when all the Fruit Types mention are only Budding, in the Spring and rightly so. But realize that as noted in prior Years, this Scene is where Solomon comes visiting, but the Shulamite is timid and apprehensive, and he leaves. Not only has the Winter passed, but so will the Spring too as one will attempt to delineate that Transition and Timing. And? In doing so, one can have perhaps a more accurate Rapture Timing Typology.

Hopeless Romantic
Then the Shulamite frantically has a Dream where she is seeking and looking for Solomon but is not Found. It is only later, at the Timing of the Summer Harvest, at the Time of the New Wine, the Mandrakes, and Pomegranates that then are eventually united and together from that Point in Time, etc. 

2:10 My beloved calls to me, ‘Arise, my Darling. Come away with me, my Beautiful One’. 

2:11 For now the Winter is past; the Rain is over and gone. 

2:12 The Flowers have appeared in the Countryside; the Season of Singing has come, and the cooing of Turtledoves is heard in our Land. 

2:13The Fig Tree ripens its Figs; the Blossoming Vines spread their Fragrance. Arise, come away, my Darling; come away with me, my beautiful one. 

What one will do is to provide other Translations of Verse 13. One is more convinced that the Description is that of the Spring Time when the Fig Tree is beginning to sprout and produce the Fig Fruit but not matured entirely yet. And? This pushes the ‘Rapture’ Timing to the Summer Season, in one’s Estimation. Notice once again, the association with the New Wine, as with the ‘Blossoming Vines’.

HEBREW INTERLINEAR – ORIGINAL
The Fig Tree puts forth her Green Figs, and the Vines [with] the Tender Grape give a [Good] smell. Arise, my Love, my Fair One, and come away. 

GOOD NEWS TRANSLATION
Figs are beginning to ripen; the Air is Fragrant with Blossoming Vines. Come then, my love; my darling, come with me.

NET BIBLE
The Fig Tree has budded, the Vines have blossomed and give off their Fragrance. Arise, come away my Darling; my Beautiful One, come away with me!

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION
The Fig Tree forms its Early Fruit; the Blossoming Vines spread their Fragrance. Arise, come, my Darling; my Beautiful One, come with me. 

This is to strongly suggest that the Vines are barely spouting-out and no Grapes are being formed just yet. This maturing and subsequent Harvesting begins at the Mid-July End of the Wheat Harvest. It is precisely when the First Fruits of the New Wine are offered. The Wine Dove-Tails with the End of the Summer Wheat Harvest, etc. Then the ‘Friends’ of the Shulamite state the following.

2:15 Catch for us the Foxes—the Little Foxes that ruin the Vineyards for our vineyards are in Bloom. 

Fig Tree Generation
According to websites, the Figs typically ripen from late Summer to early Autumn in Israel, with the main Harvest Season usually occurring from July to August. In Israel, Summer officially begins on June 21, which is the Summer Solstice. The Summer Months in Israel typically last until September.

3. August 21
4. September 21
 

In Israel, the Summer Wheat Harvest generally takes place from late May to early July. The exact Timing can vary depending on the specific Region and Weather Conditions, but the Wheat Harvest typically concludes by Mid-July. (7-23), perhaps.

CHAPTER 3

In this Chapter, the Shulamite has a Dream. Notice that is as though a ‘Retro-Flashback’ to King Solomon’s Coronation that is directly connected to a Day of His Wedding in a set Future. Is not the Rapture Event the Time when Jesus will also bestow all those Crowns on His Bride? And 1 specific Crown is to be given, a Crown to all those that were earnestly Waiting for Jesus, the Blessed Hope. Are not such People the ones that are Watching, Worshiping and Weeping presently like the Shulamite?

3:11 Come out, O Daughters of Zion, and gaze at King Solomon, wearing the Crown his Mother bestowed on the Day of his Wedding—the Day of his Heart’s Rejoicing.

CHAPTER 5
In this Chapter, Solomon mentions Wine. Solomon comes calling again, but it is also where the Shulamite misses him again. But as Jesus, He had to go away to prepare the Wedding Chamber. However, the Promise was given to return for His Bride 1 Day. But in Waiting and Watching during this Time on Earth, the Bride would have to go through much Tribulation and Trials. She would be Misinterpreted and Mistreated, etc. And has not the Church Age been nothing but that?

5:1 I have come to my Garden, my Sister, my Bride; I have gathered my Myrrh with my Spice. I have eaten my Honeycomb with my Honey; I have drunk my Wine with my Milk. 

5:6 I opened for my Beloved, but he had turned and gone. My Heart sank at his Departure. I sought him, but did not find him. I called, but he did not answer. 

5:7 I encountered the Watchmen on their Rounds of the City. They beat me and bruised me; they took away my Cloak, those Guardians of the Walls. 

5:8 O Daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you, if you find my Beloved, tell him I am Sick with Love. 

CHAPTER 6
The Bridegroom in this Chapter mentions how the Vines are budding at this Stage or Timing of the Storyline. It is indicative of how the Spring Season has passed as now the First Fruits of the New Wine are clearly produced, as are the Mandrakes and Pomegranates, etc. 

6:11I went down to the Walnut Grove to see the Blossoms of the Valley, to see if the Vines were budding. 

CHAPTER 7

There is another Reference to the Vine and Wine here. So, here is a Key Clue as to the Storyline’s Timing. At this Place and Time, the Fruit mentioned are Mandrakes. They are typically harvested towards the End of the Summer Months, August and September. One interprets this Time as how they have now united and are together under the same House or Chamber. Why? Read how they refer to the Door, the ‘Dalet’.
 

Love-Sickness
Here is the other Key Clue. Solomon pledges to ‘Give his Love’ at the Time when the Pomegranates are in Bloom. When is that? Pomegranates typically bloom in Late Spring around May to June, depending on the Climate and Region. The Flowers are Bright Red and can be quite striking. After Blooming, the Fruit usually begins to develop and can be harvested in the Summer [July] and as early as Late Summer, August.
 

7:8 May your Breasts be like Clusters of the Vine, the Fragrance of your Breath like Apples. 

7:9 and your Mouth like the finest Wine. 

7:12 Let us go early to the Vineyards to see if the Vine has budded, if the Blossom has opened, if the Pomegranates are in Bloom -there I will give you my Love. 

7:13 The Mandrakes send forth a Fragrance, and at our Door is every delicacy, new as well as old, that I have treasured up for you, my Beloved.

So, as one can assess, the Theme of Wine, Mandrakes, Pomegranates and Budding are used to describe the Early Stages of their initial Spring Season Growth and Development. But one’s Point is that the Fruits mentioned, then Mature in the Summer, as does their Relationship, that can be also argued corresponds to the maturing of the Fruit Types, etc.  

Thus, the Fruit Types are what dictates or should, the Timing of the Progression of this Relationship and perhaps the Rapture’s Timing. And if one is applying the Rapture Typology as to its Timing, it is therefore incorrect to assume it corresponds to the Spring Season, in one’s Estimation. Rather, one is more convinced of the Summer Season of Harvest as most if not all of the Fruit Types mentioned bloom in the Spring and are harvested in the Summer, generally speaking. 

CHAPTER 8
In the concluding Chapter, the Theme of Wine ends the Story as it began. It is when finally, Solomon’s will 1 Day bring the Shulamite Bride to the House and to celebrate with Wine. Will this be the New Wine Jesus postponed during the Passover Last Supper Meal?

8:2 I would lead you and bring you to the House of my Mother who taught me. I would give you Spiced Wine to drink, the Nectar of my Pomegranates. 

8:6 Set me as a Seal over your Heart, as a Seal upon your Arm. For Love is as strong as Death, its Jealousy as unrelenting as Sheol. Its sparks are Fiery Flames, the fiercest Blaze of all. 

8:7 Mighty Waters cannot quench Love; Rivers cannot sweep it away. If a Man were to give all the Wealth of his House for Love, his offer would be utterly Scorned. 

8:11 Solomon had a Vineyard in Baal-Hamon. He leased it to the Tenants. For its Fruit, each was to bring a 1000 Shekels of Silver. 

8:12 But my own Vineyard is mine to give; the 1000 Shekels are for you, O Solomon, and 200 are for those who tend its Fruit.

And to stress, that one can also interpret the Theme of Budding in the Spring Time as how the Relationship between the Shulamite and Solomon are described and disclosed initially. It is about a Personal, Romantic and Intimate Relationship that grows like the Flowers, the Figs and the Vine; Wheat also. The Shulamite concludes the Song or the Matter of this Relationship with King Solomon. It is ultimately about a Pledge, a Vow, a Sacred Vow as one gives at the Altar in a Marriage Ceremony. 

And such a Seal is not to be broken, etc. However, with a Fallen and Flawed Humanity, that is not possible, unfortunately. But with Jesus, the Greater Solomon, He is the Seal of the Father’s Love toward Humanity. It is Jesus, the Bridegroom, because of His Resurrected Life that makes this Type of Seal, of His Love for His Bride to be Unbroken, eternally. In Jesus, each one of His Believers and Followers are as a Mark or Seal upon His Arm, His Hand and His Body. Consider every Lash and Stripe given all over Jesus’ Body, as representing one of us that have pledged to accept His Love. So, how does one show that Love back to Jesus? One ‘Arises’ and Serves as the Shulamite.
 

As a Believer and Follower of Jesus, one is imprinted in the Palm of His Hand, as a Mark is branded on the Skin. This Seal is as strong as Death because Jesus, our Greater Solomon defeated Hell and Death. So, will Jesus come at the Time when Fruits are Matured? Will it be when one's Relationship likewise has matured and one is ready to be with Jesus? Will it be at a Summer Season, where collectively, the Greater Shulamite has matured and has made herself ready?
 

A Promise

I Jesus, have sent My Angel to give you this Testimony for the Churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the Bride say, ’Come!’ Let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who is thirsty come, and the one who desires the Water of Life drink freely. -Revelation 22:16-17
